The theme for the session is: “Star Search”. The heavens have guided and inspired humans for millennia, and composers are no exception!  We’ll sample music about stars, planets, and other celestial phenomena, moving from the Middle Ages to the 20th Century with stops along the way!

As a recorder teacher and player based in the Atlanta area, Jody Miller supports both historical music and traditionally historical instruments in contemporary roles.  With over 20 years of diverse teaching experience, Jody is an effective teacher in workshop, small group, and private settings. About his class, “It Takes Two”, he says: “Two” is important in music. Not only is it the minimum number of musicians needed to play live ensemble music, but it also shows up in many other ways. We won’t just learn some outstanding duet literature, but we’ll also look at pairs of dances, dueling entities, and perhaps the disruption of that perfect arrangement between two lovers
