This one is for the birds! On Monday, April 3 at 7:30 pm, Anne Timberlake will present a program of five pieces related to birds. She says, “The recorder has long been renowned for its sweet, bird-like timbre.  We’ll take full advantage of its melodious capabilities as we sample several centuries’ worth of music about birds. Tish will lead a class entitled:  The Recorder Player’s Palette: Far More than Black and White. Using short exercises for articulation and tone, we’ll add character, dynamic contrast, and poetic inflections to our interpretations of an Arcadelt madrigal, an Encina villancico, and a Telemann duo.
