The Washington Recorder Society maintains a library of printed music available for members’ use. The music is stored at CedarLaneUnitarianUniversalistChurch in two cabinets in Room 1, downstairs from the main meeting room. Cabinets are unlocked and open before and during our Nova and Antiqua meetings on Monday nights.
The library contains music used at WRS meetings, which has accumulated since the beginning of the society itself. It also includes music donated to WRS by individuals or family members. This includes the Roger Morris Collection (donated by the late Roger Morris, who conducted WRS’s Nova sessions for many years) the Wes Oler Collection, donated by the Oler family. Both of these collections are fully cataloged according to number of instruments and by composer or title. There are also some exercises and performance manuals.
Please feel free to borrow the music. Instructions are posted on the inside of the right-hand cabinet.
